Blue-Green Algae on Eagle Lake
Late summer and early fall are prime season for blue-green algae blooms on Eagle Lake. Blooms can make the water look like green pea soup or turquoise paint — and you cannot tell by looking whether a bloom is toxic.
If you see a bloom: stay out of the water, keep pets away, and report it.
